Finding a room in Rotterdam

Somewhere over the last couple of months I think many of us have experienced the sinking feeling that we will be couch surfing for our remaining time in Rotterdam. Envious of your peers who managed to get a flat in Hatta, you are still trying to find a room and at this point you would be okay with anything that you can get your hands on. In the midst of nervous breakdowns over your unsuccessful room hunt, you have probably thought time and time again HOW CAN FINDING A ROOM BE SO HARD?! Well, if it’s any sort of solace for you- you are not alone.

We're proud to bring forth to you a range of stories and anecdotes from the ESN Rotterdam family. Here's presenting, Humans of ESN Rotterdam!

This week we'll be meeting, Amin Noori (2nd year IBEB student and Vice-president/Secretary of the 8th ESN Rotterdam Board) who loves helping international students! "I know that some international students are not confident or are afraid of stepping out of their comfort zones. I want to help them settle in and enjoy the best moments in Rotterdam."

Blog by Pranaav Gupta about the ESN International Business Day:

The International Business Day organised by the ESN on the 8th of February at the Cambridge Innovation Centre was an absolutely delightful experience to attend. I was initially a little sceptical about spending an entire day attending case studies and business workshops by Dutch companies as I am a law student who is on an exchange for six months. My skepticism was put to rest by the knowledge I gained throughout the day. Not only was this a wonderful opportunity to meet and interact with other students, it was also a great way to interact with some well known Dutch companies such as KPN Techologies and BimBimBike

Since we hit 10,000 likes, we'd like to celebrate the occasion with all you lovely students!

We have arranged a special CAKE, drinks and snacks for all of you!

Come by the ESN Office at 14:00 to join the celebrations!

First successful buddy training!
