Dear International Students,
 
On behalf of ESN, I would like to welcome you all the amazing city of Rotterdam. The city of, Daredevils and people who take action. Every one of you embodies these two characteristics, being someone who takes action and having a little adventurer inside of you. You have physically stepped outside of your comfort zone and expanded it over the world. Even when you are a national student, then there must be something which draws you to the international life. Because that is what we as ESN are essentially about.
 
Being abroad will be one of the best experiences of your life. However, it can very difficult and frustrating at times. We will do our best to help you with the problems you are facing, be it trouble finding a house, opening a bank account, or trying to find the cheapest place to groceries. We already serviced thousands of international students before, so chances are that already came across your problems, and that we already solved it. So please feel add us on Facebook, send us an e-mail or drop by the office when you have any questions. We are open 5 days a week to make that we can help you in the best manner possible. Of course we also have a lot to offer through our social and cultural events such as our social drinks, Wednesday dinners, city trips, jam sessions, cooking classes, movie nights, and etc. Especially our Social Drinks seem to be notorious.
 
However, I talked a lot about ESN but this section is actually meant to tell you who I am and where I come from. Being born in the Netherlands and having parents from Surinam in South America spoon-fed me the idea of traveling. Since I was twelve years old I traveled back and forth from the Netherlands to South-America independently. As I grew older my hunger for the international life kept growing. This lead me to a live full of crazy adventures ranging from India, to the United States, and even Australia. There are so many stories I can tell about the insanity that is my life and crazy things I experienced on my journey, but I would rather share them with you under the enjoyment of good music and a nice and cold drink.
