4 baking recipes to make during lockdown

We are now all very familiar with the Dutch regulations and start to get used to them. We have adapted our way of living and discovered activities that we like to do at home. If baking is one of yours, this small article will give you ideas of easy recipes for impressing your friends and family!

Chewy chocolate chip cookies

This first recipe is one of my classics. If you do not have much time but are a chocolate lover like me, then this recipe is for you. Making cookies is very easy, and once you have the ingredients at home, it’s difficult to resist making them. The recipe will take you approximately 20 minutes and you will have plenty of cookies to share. You can find the link to the full recipe here.

Fudgy brownie with pecans

You have already understood that I am a chocolate lover and thus, my second recipe for you had to be fudgy brownies. If you are still buying the premade brownie kit in the supermarket in 2022, this is your sign to stop! There is nothing complicated in making this recipe, it will take you approximately 30 minutes and you will have a delicious brownie that I recommend you eat medium hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You can find the link to the full recipe here.

Lemon loaf cake

The third recipe is one of my favorites too. This lemon loaf cake is just incredible if you are not a big fan of chocolate desserts. It is also very easy to make and if you store it in a hermetic box, it will last for at least 4/5 days, so it is great for snack prepping. The cake only needs 20 minutes of preparation time. It needs to be in the oven for approximately 60 minutes. You can find the full recipe here.

Rhubarb raspberry crumble

The fourth recipe is perfect if you are craving a dessert and have any leftover fruits. This recipe is a red fruit crumble, but you can simply adapt it with the fruit of your choice or even do a mix. The softness of the cooked fruits and the crunchiness of the crumble is a perfect combo on the plate and will impress all your friends. Making this recipe will take you approximately 20 minutes and is very easy. Let your crumble cool down a bit and eat it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! You can find the full recipe here.
