From soft skills such as teamwork, communication, and organisation to more position-specific skills such as budgeting and financial planning, marketing and promotion, and leadership: a board year can help you improve values that will stay with you for the rest of your life. More specifically for ESN-Rotterdam:
- You gain experience in organising a diverse range of events, from parties to city trips and career-oriented event
- You become part of an international network that is currently present in over 40 countries
- You will be working on a daily basis with people from different cultures, which is especially helpful for working with internationals in the future

The ESN board consists of a tight-knit group of students from all different backgrounds. Throughout the year, you will be responsible for the largest student organisation for international students in Rotterdam. You will directly influence the experiences of thousands of your fellow students, and become connected to the wider Erasmus Student Network.
