What are the ESN Introduction Days?
Four days of extraordinary fun: one online, and three offline! Basically we put you in a group of new friends with whom you explore the city, the university and the attractions of Rotterdam! During the online day we’ll give you some interesting information, but you’ll also be able to join a part of the other days online. During previous editions, we’ve seen that these people stick around for the rest of their stay and far after.
For whom are the Intro Days?
We mainly target new incoming international students that have never studied in Rotterdam before; master, bachelor and exchange! However, feel free to sign up if you’re looking to make some new friends.
What’s included in the price?
A full-on three day package filled with fun, experiences and new friends! We’ll make sure you won’t be hungry by offering 3 dinners and one tasty lunch in the pancake boat and a sports afternoon. Next to that, there will be an evening activity every night and during the day there will be various activities. Furthermore, you’ll receive a really fun goodie bag!
What is the difference between Early Bird and Regular Tickets?
Only the price! If you buy your ticket on time, we discounted them a bit.
I’m expecting to arrive later, can I still participate?
Of course! Feel free to join whenever you can. However, we are not able to split up the price per day. Please let your group guide know when you’ll arrive!
My friend is visiting, can he/she join the Intro Days as well?
If your friend is a student at EUR, no problem! Otherwise he/she won’t be able to buy a ticket, unfortunately.
Do you provide accommodation during the three days?
No, you will have to arrange your own. All activities will take place on campus, in different parks and in the city center.
How do I know who my group guide is and fellow group members are?
The day before the Intro Days start, you’ll be contacted by your guide! Your guide will stay with your group for all four days and he/she will be able to answer all questions you might have.
I don’t drink alcohol, will it still be fun?
Most certainly! Because there’s people from over 40 countries joining our Intro Days, several of them don’t consume alcohol, but this does not stop them from having fun! There will be non-alcoholic drinks available at every location.
I am Dutch but I will study in an international program, can I join?
You are more than welcome to join us. ESN stands for an open and inclusive community so everyone is welcome!
Are there vegetarian or vegan options?
Yes! Make sure to mention it in the sign-up form when you buy the ticket.
I have an allergy!
That’s only human! Make sure to include your allergies when you buy your ticket and we’ll make sure you get food and drinks you can take.
When will the official program be out?
Currently in the works! A lot of it will be similar to the colored schedule below, but some things will change.
Oeps! I can’t attend anymore. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, we don’t offer refunds due to restraints with foreign payments. However, feel free to offer your ticket in the Facebook event or the Semester Group! Please let us know whom you sold it to by emailing [email protected].
When and where does it start?
On Saturday morning there will be an opening event online available for all participants to have a fun time together! Moreover, we have an offline registration moment on Sunday for those who can be there physically!
Can I be with a friend in a group?
Wow, so popular! Of course. Make sure to mention this when buying your ticket.
Where can I buy the ticket?
You can either buy your ticket online or swing by the ESN Office to avoid the transaction costs, once they go live!
Can I pay in cash?
Unfortunately we don’t take cash! Luckily, our ticket system accepts almost all international cards. If you’re not able to buy one, feel free to drop by our office and we can figure it out!
